In an effort to keep Lake Michigan and the local Holland area clean, Holland Dumpster Man has created a new Blog site which offers creative suggestions to the Holland community on how to recycle and dispose of waste material.
Holland, Michigan -- These suggestions that include "how-to" tips that combine neighborhood recycling projects, to paper and bottle drives by local service organizations. Many local businesses look for ways to serve the communities they reside in. These clean-up projects are perfect for youth organizations to provide service and make additional income from these events.
Holland Dumpster Man is happy to provide guidelines for starting these projects and putting the appropriate people together to make the project work.
The new Holland Dumpster Man's Blog site has a community section that offers lists of items that can not only be cleaned-up but provide extra income for the volunteer organizations. Typical items that have cash value to recycling companies are, but not limited to:
1). newspapers
2). magazines and catalogs
3). office paper used all types and varieties
4). phone books
5). pop bottles(refundable only)
6). aluminum cans
7). copper items
8). pots and pans
Plastic water bottles are becoming a real environmental nightmare because of their popularity and the fact that they are not a direct cash returnable item. This is not to say that they cannot be broken down and reused but at this point they cost more to recycle then they are worth. Until local and state governmental provide mandatory returnable cost deposits the problem will continue.
Scrap metal drives are becoming more and more profitable due to the high cost of raw materials. Most scrap yards pay top dollar for discarded metal items.
Items that are not recyclable can still be disposed of properly and at costs that won't break the budget. This is where Holland Dumpster Man is able to provide residential dumpsters at the best prices in the Holland area.
